Numbers Part 1: How to Follow God
As we dive into the book of Numbers, we get a chance to look at what it really means to walk with God when life feels wild and unpredictable. The Israelites’ story has a ton to teach us about being ready, staying open to what God wants to do, and keeping our focus on Him—even when things get tough.
We’re encouraged to think about the people God’s put around us, how we make space for His presence in our lives, and the specific purpose He’s given each of us. Just like the Israelites gathered around the tabernacle, we’re called to put God at the center of our friendships, work, and everything else we’ve got going on.
This sermon connects what the Israelites went through with our own ups and downs. It reminds us that God gives us the right people, stays with us through everything, and has a reason for where we’re at. As we go through our own “wilderness” moments, we’re invited to listen for God’s voice, do what He’s asking, and show respect for Him and each other.
Bottom line: This message is a chance for us to check our hearts, deal with our doubts, and trust God with the hard stuff—so we can keep growing and walking with Him in real ways.
