The bible offers (and teaches) a solution: It’s called Lament.

The How to Church intensive is a special one-day class. If you’ve been regularly attending but haven’t officially gone through membership yet, this is a perfect opportunity to jump in without committing to three Sundays in a row. This intensive will walk through what it means to follow God, live in community with His people, and live on mission—all in one engaging Saturday morning.

The book of 2 Samuel continues the story of Israel’s transition from a loose confederation of tribes into a unified kingdom under God’s chosen king. In the Hebrew Bible, First and Second Samuel are a single book, traditionally called Shemu’el (“Samuel”), named after the prophet who anointed Israel’s first two kings.

Second Samuel focuses primarily on the reign of King David—his rise, his victories, his failures, and God’s unshakable covenant promises.
